Rest in Peace to Dr. Ross Pollack. He was the Director of the Specialized Resource Center at Manhattan College. He did a lot more great things than many of us were probably aware of, but I know that just from the little time I knew him, he was dedicated to MC and it's students.
Dr. Pollack cared about his friends and through his programs, he helped all of those with special needs, those needing extra assistance with class, and someone like me who needed recommendations for graduate school. In the little time that I spent with Dr. Pollack, he always greeted me with a smile, while replacing "goodbye" with "if you ever need anything let me know." And as soon as I did need something, he was there to help. I was fortunate enough to offer some help to others through Dr. Pollack's program for three years, and he definitely embodied the La Sallian tradition of Manhattan College. So I'm sure that today, instead of saying goodbye to MC, he's letting us all know if we need anything, he's there.
