Update #3
-For my Leadership class, I had to pick a book on leadership to read, and I chose Wooden on Leadership by John Wooden and Steve Jamison. It was a great book for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of leadership, how to improve personal accountability, and how to define "success" from one of the greates coaches ever. One thing that is pretty interesting is how Wooden mentions he would "rather have little experience and a lot of talent over a lot of experience and no talent." This was not only echoed by the President of The U, Donna Shalala who came into speak with one of my classes last week (which she talked about while illustrating her search for a new A.D.), but also by a group presentation in class today about a book entitled Fun Is Good by Mike Veeck. I guess what this means is that sometimes you have to take chances on people that don't have a great deal of experience, but may be willing to learn and improve their skills and show a great deal of talent.
-I joined up with the UM Club Golf team which has been pretty cool. I got my swing "motion captured" which gave me another perspective on how bad my swing is.
-This weekend, I got my first experience of "The Rat"--the restaruant and bar on campus which was a lot of fun, and that same night my friend John and I went to BED (n/h), a club in South Beach where we learned Fridays are "ugly girls get in for free" night
-Jim and I started our own company which I promised to myself that I would not cross-promote on this site. But I mean if you were to google Kelley Management Group, you might find it.
-Straight from the slums of Shaolin, NY, da great white Babe will make her first appearance in Dade County in 2 weeks and I'm pretty pumped. I'm gona also try to con her into making an appearance on the webcam (for a GWH video blog, you pervs).
