Here are my picks for tomorrow's games:
Giants (+1.5) over Cowboys
On Big Mike's radio show, I said I thought the Cowboys would take this one by one point. I see this game being really close and low scoring (20-21). In the first meeting, the Giants lost by ten points in the season opener to the first-place Cowboys. That game featured Jason Whitten absolutely destroying the middle of the Giants defense, catching passes down the middle of the field. The Giants were also able to put up a lot of pass yards, as Plaxico Burress had an excellent game with 3 TDs. But it's important to remember a couple things:
1. That game was Michael Strahan's first game of the season after the off-season holdout
2. It was also LB Mathias Kiwanuka's first real full game at LB, after transitioning from DE. He allowed big runs by the Cowboys on the weak side and was unable to hang with Witten as he ran down the middle of the field. Both Kiwi and OLB Kavika Mitchell have greatly improved since that game.
3. Brandon Jacobs was injured in the second half of that game
4. As was CB Sam Madison
5. CB and rookie playmaker Aaron Ross had not yet made his way through the Giants' depth chart

I think this game will come down to who can run the ball better. Giants will attack with Jacobs, Ward, and Droughns and Dallas will counter with the two-headed monster of Julius Jones and Marion Barber III. Although the Giants have perhaps the best pass rushing in the NFL, their run defense is not as good as Dallas', and that will be the difference.
Colts (-3.5) over Chargers
While both teams are coming off losses, the Colts are coming off a worse one. They had the lead for most of the game against the undefeated Pats. The Chargers lost to a team without a quarterback, and managed to relinquish almost 300 yards on the ground to Adrian Peterson, an NFL record (and to think I waisted a pick on SD Defense). But almost as important is how LT got showed up by AP. Before last week, I had one foot on the Chargers' bandwagon until it crashed into the Vikings' Love Boat last week. Look for Joe Addai to continue the strong run game, and Manning to thrive with a healthier Marvin Harrison (whose absence last week greatly hurt the chances for the Colts to hang on in the 4th quarter).
Patriots (-34) over BYE
BYE will try to come with all sorts of pressure. Calvin Klein reportedly has offered Tom Brady 1 million to pose in undies, while Taylor Twellman has attempted to steal the thunder in the Boston area with his bicycle kick that sent the Revs into the MLS Cup. Other problems such as the flu, bills, and mothers-in-law will attempt to create chaos for members of the Pats, but look for the Pats to come through and capture the AFC East title in 2 weeks. Sad....
Broncos (+3) over Chiefs
One of the highlights from last week's South Park episode was when Stan met Jay Cutler at a coke and sex party. I know there will be a soft spot in the heart of Vandy's newest fan who prays every night for his 'Dores to become bowl-eligable, Mr. Jim Pask, for ol' Jay to recover (although he has yet to visit the Cutler Museum in Ca$hville).
...And my locks of the week...
Dolphins (+2.5) over Bills
Miami will win their first game this week, and it will be over J.P. Losman, who somehow has garnered a "savior-like" glow in the eyes of Northern New Yorkers. Zach Thomas is out for the Fins, but Jason Taylor still plays and he created plays in a game they could have won last week against the G-Men. Fins are coming off a Bye week, and should have a game plan to win at home for the first time against Buffalo.
2 Girls (-2.5) over 1 Cup
If you haven't seen that video, make sure to google it now. Stop reading and google it. And make sure your kids/parents are watching too... while you eat hardboiled eggs.
